About our Team of Directors
Our Circle Maitland Ltd is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). ABN 90675914860 The board consists of five volunteer Directors with a shared mission:
To create a safe and welcoming space designed to support those in need within our community.
OCM is non funded and relies solely on the charitable donations and sponsorship from the local Maitland community.
Our primary short term goal is to provide a free weekly meal service for the vulnerable people in our community. We want those in need to feel connected and supported. We also aim to be a conduit to other local support services to help our patrons find aid for their specific circumstances.
The Board meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The Board's duties include strategic planning, financial oversight, legal compliance, fundraising, and community advocacy.
Donna Hosie
Chairperson: A wealth of experience from holding senior management positions across APAC and internationally for 30 years. Strategic leadership & a passion for good governance.
Wayne Sams
Deputy Chairperson: Passionate about helping others due to childhood hardships Wayne has retired from State Government with experience in business planning,WHS,Financial and People management. Wayne has also been eavily involved with Orange Sky Laundry.
Sharon Ratjen
Treasurer: She enjoys being part of a community that is enthusiastic about helping people. Sharon brings extensive experience in administration and customer service to the team. She has lived in the Maitland area for 9yrs.
Lee Pigott
Secretary: Construction Coordinator who values WHS and policy. Passionate photoghrapher & creative who enjoys helping people in his home town.
June Watt
Director: June is a retired hairdresser & salon owner. A member of Morpeth on Hunter Probus Club & East Maitland Womens Bowling Club. She enjoys supporting various events & charities, and is passionate about helping those in need in her community.
